SHEC Energy will be adapting its advanced solar receiver design to operate with solar towers. Although solar towers are not as efficient as point focus systems, their design is simplified by not requiring heat transport piping from a multitude of solar collectors. With the adaptation of SHEC Energy's advanced receiver technology applied to a solar tower, much higher operating efficiencies will be achieved.
